End User Licence Agreement
The legal terms for using Dumpr. The short version: you get a licence to use the app; you don't own it; don't reverse-engineer it; and Dumpr is a productivity helper, not a substitute for professional advice.
Licence grant
The developer (“we”, “us”) grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use Dumpr (the “App”) on any iPhone that you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
Dumpr is licensed to you, not sold. You do not acquire any ownership interest in the App or in any intellectual property associated with it.
Apple’s standard terms
Dumpr is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple’s terms, Apple’s terms prevail. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App, and no warranty obligations with respect to it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce it against you.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App except as permitted by applicable law.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- Sublicence, sell, rent, lease, or transfer the App or any rights in it.
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the App.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
On-device operation
The App performs all voice capture, transcription, segmentation, classification, and routing entirely on your device. We do not operate a server that handles your data. As a consequence:
- We have no access to your audio recordings, transcripts, or the items you capture.
- We cannot restore data lost due to device failure, deletion, or any other cause.
- You are responsible for any data you choose to share with third parties (including via the sharing features described below).
Shared dumps
When you use the dump-sharing feature, the App encodes selected items into a URL and presents it to iOS’s share sheet. You choose how and to whom you send that link. We operate no server that processes or stores the shared content — the payload is entirely self-contained in the URL. You are solely responsible for any content you choose to share and with whom you share it.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- We do not warrant the accuracy of any transcription, classification, or routing result.
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Not professional advice
Dumpr is a personal productivity tool. It is designed to help you capture and organise tasks, calendar events, and notes.
Dumpr is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or otherwise. Do not use it as the sole basis for decisions that require professional expertise. Any content you capture and route using the App is your own content; we have no visibility into it and accept no responsibility for it.
The automatic classification and date-extraction features are designed to be helpful but are not infallible. Always review and confirm items before they are sent, and verify any time-sensitive information (appointments, deadlines, medication schedules, etc.) in the relevant system app.
Termination
This licence is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with any term. On termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Not Professional Advice) will survive.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any dispute arising under this agreement, except where Apple’s standard terms require otherwise.
